Rustic Napa Valley Love: Shirley & Spencer Married!

Happy Thursday Lovelies!View More: http://kstonephoto.pass.us/kamweddingIt is a beautiful day here in Southern California, and today we have the pleasure of sharing one of our most fabulous wine country soirées with you. One of the things we love to do here at Marisa Nicole Events is travel - all over this great state, from coast to coast, and beyond - with our couples to plan and design the perfect wedding for them, in the setting they have always dreamed of! Last September our team took a trip up north to Napa to help Shirley & Spencer (one of our favorite couples of all time!) get hitched.shirley and spencer-14 View More: http://kstonephoto.pass.us/kamwedding shirley and spencer-13Shirley & Spencer’s celebration was everything a wine country wedding should be and more. The natural beauty of the vineyard served as the perfect backdrop for the couple’s laid back, rustic fête. Shirley chose a pallet of diluted corals and peachy pinks, dusty grey, and creamy white, all grounded by medium brown elements. Large ruffled blooms were paired with smaller textured flowers and then housed in a variety of grouped mismatched vessels to create a sense of dainty boldness. We styled the wedding with a plethora of the double B’s: burlap and baby’s breath, and brought in both vintage and farm pieces including old suitcases, pails, and chicken wire to bring the couple’s look to life. The guests dined on exposed wooden farm tables and all of the chalkboard art was designed by our team to keep the party playful & witty.shirley and spencer-15 View More: http://kstonephoto.pass.us/kamweddingshirley and spencer-18One of the things I adored about this couple was their willingness to think outside the box. No programmatic items took place simply for the sake of tradition and they were more than happy to change things up from the usual “day of” wedding structure. We kicked off the party with the couple greeting their guests as they arrived for cocktail hour. A few crazy games of corn hole were played, drinks and yummy hors d'oeuvres were served, and a great time was had by all, right from the start! After a quick wardrobe change from the bride-to-be, the guests were invited under the tree (and toward the singularly fab metal Bessie) to witness the love birds partake in their vows.View More: http://kstonephoto.pass.us/kamweddingshirley and spencer-12View More: http://kstonephoto.pass.us/kamwedding shirley and spencer-17 View More: http://kstonephoto.pass.us/kamweddingShirley & Spencer were declared ‘Mr. & Mrs.’ and the reception festivities began (with a round of shots by the bridal party)! The happy guests dined on a farm-to-table feast (cooked over a live-fire pit next to the ceremony site) while enjoying some kick-booty Long Meadow Ranch wine. Everyone then proceeded to party like it was 1999! Activities included, but were not limited to: roasting s’mores, getting crazy in the photo booth, and dancing the night away.shirley and spencer-16 View More: http://kstonephoto.pass.us/kamwedding shirley and spencer-11 View More: http://kstonephoto.pass.us/kamweddingOn a personal note, this blog post is dedicated to Shirley’s beautiful mother, who I seriously fell in love with (and who has always been more than kind and welcoming to me). My thoughts and prayers go out to Shirley and her family during this difficult time.Vendor Love:
