Happy Wedding Wednesday, friends!These grey winter days has us dreaming about summer days filled with sun soaked fêtes. Today we’re excited to share one of our favorites from 2016 with you.Have you ever met someone and just thought “wow, they are such good people”? That was how it felt when I met Katrina & Scott. Throughout the planning process all the way through to the big day, they were one of the most thoughtful and considerate couples I’ve had the privilege to work with. It was truly an honor to help plan their special day. It has been almost been 6 months since Katrina & Scott were married in Palos Verdes overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island last August. Today we’re sharing their beautiful wedding with you to enjoy! Katrina & Scott got married at Catalina View Gardens which has breathtaking picturesque coastal views. The venue complemented the couple’s vision of a minimal, clean, modern and fresh wedding style. The reception and ceremony were outside and it could not have been more of a beautiful day!All details were kept simple, natural and beautiful. Katrina’s bouquet and centerpieces matched with large ruffled blooms and loose greenery. The guests enjoyed cocktails on the patio before dinner. They served a Blackberry Bramble and a Whiskey Peach Smash which were both major hits with the guests!When it came to the tables, we went for a clean, streamlined look so that the sweeping coastal views could be the real star of the tablescape. Minimal with interest was our mantra for the day’s aesthetic.Katrina & Scott are major foodies! So instead of going with the generic chicken, steak, and fish, they served their guests two unconventional wedding entree options lamb and duck (baller!). Don’t worry, they also offered short-ribs for the traditionalists in the group. And to top of the delicious meal, they served a tropical cake that incorporated flowers and greenery. The newlyweds and guests enjoyed playing lawn games, dancing and celebrating the new married couple all night long underneath the twinkling lights! Congratulations to Katrina & Scott!
