Love at Rancho Capistrano: Bud & Kerry Married!

Happy Tuesday Friends!Between my wedding and all the other celebrations we’ve helped create this summer, things have been crazy here at Marisa Nicole, Weddings & Events. I’m happy to say that we’ve finally had a moment to breathe, which means our blog hiatus is officially over (I know, you were so worried…).  Although I’m anxious to show off all our fabulous weddings from this season, it would be an absolute sin to neglect sharing some of the best of our weddings from 2011 with you first. The wedding I’m excited to show you today is one very near and dear to my heart. Kerry & Bud are one of the happiest, cutest couples I’ve gotten to work with. You can tell from just one look at their photos how in love they are. They really do bring out the best in each other and I so loved helping them get married! Part of what made this wedding so special was how much of a collaborative effort it was. All their friends and family pitched in to make their day simple perfect.

Bud & Kerry’s wedding was held at Rancho Capistrano, where nature and Spanish style architecture come together just gorgeously. From the red brick patio and colorful tiling to the lush green grounds and sturdy trees, I just can’t stop gushing about this venue. Kerry & Bud made the space their own my hand making each and every décor detail. This was a wedding born out of blood, sweat and tears. They were going for a rustic/woodsy feel with a touch of vintage and boy did they bring it!

Bud personally cut each slice of wood that anchored the centerpieces. He and his best man worked tirelessly the day before the wedding hanging lanterns at the ceremony site and stringing lights to make the reception area glow. Kerry made all the super cute signs, their guest book love tree and scoured the OC for just the right vintage glass that would add dimension to the overall design. Kerry’s bridesmaids and close friends pitched in too, spending hours cutting burlap, handcrafting necklaces and boutonnieres for the bridal party, and decorating the guests’ mason jars. The ceremony was held under a tree that I like to refer to as the tree of life. Isn’t is just stunning!?! The couple, along with their friends and family spent the evening feasting and dancing on the Spanish patio. They ended the night by exiting to a sea of sparklers. The perfect end to a perfect day.Vendor Love:
