Give Back Inspired Styled Wedding!

reptile house diptychAsSeenOn(1)Happy Thursday Friends!I have been just itching to share these photos with you all for quite a while now! We were honored to have this lovely little project featured last month on Rustic Wedding Chic and seeing the images all over again made me squeal with delight! Not only is the mission of this shoot near and dear to my heart, the style and fashion of it gets me all kinds of excited! We brought the design dream team from the Route 66 Styled Wedding back together again as the creative genius behind our ethically conscious wedding!welcome_tablegive_back-62printed-7Kelly, Whitney and I came together with the idea to create an ethically conscious wedding where all the details give back to the community or environment. We sought to find vendors and make design decisions that are completely ethical. Our hope is to inspire couples to spend a part of their budget on items or vendors that not only help make their wedding outstanding, but also give back to the community.give_back-75welcome table detailsWe've collaborated with a fantastic group of wedding professionals and not-for-profit companies to stage a wedding that showcases how you can create a fabulous celebration utilizing design elements and vendors that "give back". We styled a welcome table, ceremony backdrop, sweetheart table, photo-booth and leaving table. We wanted the colors, shapes and textures to exude a celebration of life and love while feeling grounded. All the decor you see in our welcome table is real fruit, legitimately vintage, or fair-wage.give back 11 and 14give_back-42give_back-33We created our ceremony backdrop by slashing and tying together old curtains, supported by one of the world's most renewable resources: bamboo! We reused ceremony decor and turned it into a photo-booth backdrop by simply displaying the same item differently! Our sweetheart table shows how you can have your guests dine like royalty on environmentally friendly products. Our farewell table allows our couple's guests to give to their favorite charity in lieu of gifts.lauren aaron ceremony diptychgive_back-21sweethearts dipgive_back-46We also wanted to make our bride look just as beautiful on the outside as in by having her dress completely in clothing, shoes and jewelry from non-profits that give back to the community. Our signage, fashion and decor items created specifically for this shoot are eco-friendly as well! Our printed items are all hand printed from an antique letterpress onto recycled paper, tree-free paper and or plantable seed paper. Our accessories are all re-purposed, reused or up-cycled.give_back-78leaving table detailsgive backFinally, the natural beauty of Rancho Las Lomas gave us the perfect backdrop for our "Give Back Wedding" with a hint of African style.photoboothrancho_details-6give_back-15Vendor Love
