Enchanting Garden Wedding: Flora & Moises Married!

Happy Friday Friends!Gallegos434A couple weeks ago, Flora & Moises’s wedding was featured on Something Turquoise and, with all the excitement, we thought it high-time to share with you more moments from their special day captured by the ever-so-talented Amanda McKinnon Photography. Flora and Moises’s wedding employed a modern yet hand-spun twist in their traditional Church wedding. The couple wanted to create an easy going celebration with touches of clean elegance and DIY projects, which all came together beautifully for their enchanting garden party reception.Gallegos011resized for blog-2resized for blogGallegos004resized for blog-3Gallegos128One of our favorite details was the yellow tinted glassware paired with square plates and specs of gold sprinkled throughout their floral vessels and candle holders. We absolutely fell in love with the hand-crafted sweetheart table backdrop the couple created together from wax paper, string and wood. It was the perfect airy, sweet and chic visual to frame the couple as they dined al fresco. We could go on and on about this couple (and how much we adored them and their wedding), we thought it might be nice for you to hear more details of this celebration from the bride herself! So without further ado:Gallegos445resized for blog-6Gallegos487resized for blog-5

From Flora:

For this wedding, we asked the bride to say a few words… The vision for our wedding came together in a very organic way, without defined expectations or creative restrictions. We wanted to capture a classic romantic feel with tones of blush and cream that would fit into the greens of our outdoor venue. Combined with a traditional Catholic ceremony in Moises’ childhood church, our wedding day was simply us— timeless and intimate.Gallegos386resized for blog-4Gallegos195For the church we kept the décor simple, with beautifully crafted lanterns that framed the altar and allowed the natural stained glass and marble to shine through. No one can really describe the feeling of walking down the aisle. The moment the wooden arch doors opened and all you can see is the smiling face of your spouse to be. It was in this moment that our wedding became a reality.Gallegos479resized for blog-8resized for blog-10Gallegos518Gallegos460resized for blog-7resized for blog-9Following the ceremony, we couldn’t wait to get to our reception. The amazing work of our florist, wedding planner, and design team brought our scattered ideas of romance and whimsy together. Wooden king’s tables decorated with simple runners, blooming centerpieces, and touches of gold detailing. At the center of it all, our master DIY project, the backdrop to our sweetheart table. A family effort, to create strands of wax paper that hung from a wooden frame (the result of Flora’s chance encounter with the perfect Pinterest picture).Gallegos753resized for blog-12Gallegos594resized for blog-11As we danced the night away under the cover of sparkling lights from the tree in our enchanted garden, we couldn’t help but smile as we felt the love of our family and friends.Gallegos366
