A Festival of Love: Margo and Avi Married!
Happy Wedding Wednesday, Lovebirds! We are especially excited to share Margo and Avi’s unique summer wedding with you. With the feel of an enchanting music festival, this celebration of love was nothing but fun! To execute this destination wedding (with a 2 week old newborn at home), we partnered with Quality Event Design in the Lake Tahoe area to execute our plans and designs. We are very appreciative of their coordination in helping run the show and perfecting the awesome florals - love you QED gals (#teamworkmakesthedreamwork)! So, without further ado, please enjoy Margo and Avi’s festivities!Margo and Avi got married at Chalet View Lodge in Portola, CA. Surrounded by towering pines, the space was rustic and woodsy, with no shortage of natural beauty. To contrast the subtle greenery of the venue, we chose to focus on a mix of vibrant colors. The magenta, orange, turquoise, and yellow popped against the navy looks rocked by the bridal party and complemented the couple’s magenta and light pink ensembles. The florals were everything! The big, colorful blooms, personalized for each individual, added a magical touch to the day. Margo’s bouquet incorporated pinks, oranges, and yellows, which paired flawlessly with her gorgeous magenta gown. The bridesmaids bouquets of varying colors and varieties of flowers combined stunningly with the groomsmen unique boutonnieres. The ceremony site was perfect for the occasion! The space was natural with fun elements add to create the music festival vibe. Upon entrance to the seating area, guests were greeted by playful elephants made from greenery and a rustic wine barrel set up, adorned with colorful florals and simple wooden lanterns. The canopy at the end of the aisle was wrapped with soft orange fabric and decorated with a floral and greenery arrangement. Handmade dreamcatchers flowed freely in the wind throughout the ceremony.Rustic Indian cultural elements were incorporated throughout the festivities. For example, a traditional Indian mangalfera ritual took place during the wedding ceremony, incorporating fire and the exchange of vows. It created a very meaningful moment for the couple. At cocktail hour, the bar and drink stations were colorful and lit by hanging string lights. Guests were greeted with fun cocktails which included a vodka, soda, and popsicle treat - refreshing and eye catching! We also brought in ladder ball and cornhole for friends and family’s enjoyment. The reception space was intimate, with tables placed around the centered dancefloor. The colorful draping fabrics were magical and incorporated lots of movement into the space and creating the feel of a festival tent. The string lights, visible after dusk, made for an enchanting evening. The tables were topped with a variety of colorful pieces. Simple floral arrangements were placed in tinted vases and candles lined the center of the tables. Colorful elements were balanced by the use of simple exposed wooden tables and chairs. The couple and bridal party changed into traditional Indian outfits and participated in a choreographed cultural dance. Check out Avi’s epic headstand! This performance set the stage for a rocking dance party.A fun dinner featured a variety of food stations, after which guests enjoyed donuts and made smores as the night came to a close. The setting was natural yet vibrant, and elements of surprise created a music festival vibe, making for a great party! This fun-loving couple was an absolute pleasure to work with. Margo and Avi, we loved being a part of your big day and wish you the best!Vendor Love:
