As we round the corner to the middle of summer, the fall wedding season is soon to be upon us. To get us geared up for the upcoming months, we wanted to share some of our favorite trends that have been predicted for Fall 2016. We know that sometimes keeping up with the latest trend, especially for weddings, can be stressful, but this season’s trends can be achieved by any bride and not just for the runway!

Trend 1: Simply Modern

Many designers are now appealing to the minimalist bride. The designs are kept to look sleek and modern by focusing on geometric lines instead of playing up lace and silhouettes. The focus is now turned away from the dress and onto the bold accessories that many brides will choose to accent it with.

Trend 2: Lingerie Inspired

Taking bustier tops and sleek silhouettes make for the perfect daring bride while still keeping it classy. Designers are using more tulle and low necklines to create a chic look and even antique-like feel. Who can resist silk and lace with meticulous placement of sheer?!?

Trend 3: Overskirts

Sofia Vergara’s wedding dress was pure bliss and swooned over by many when she was able to detach her gown from her long skirt. There’s no surprise that the detachable gown is now also a bride favorite as it creates a look for your ceremony and for the reception.

Trend 4: Off the Shoulder

After the cap sleeve and one shoulder craze comes the off the shoulder look, which helps modest brides show a little skin. The sleeve design can be paired with many styles of bridal gowns from mermaid or for a flowing gown as it allows a more form-fitting feel.

Trend 5: 1930s Throwback

The 1930s was all about beading and embroidery, stepping away from the minimalist ideals. Silhouette sleeves and buttons all the way down the back. These dresses bring back a timeless elegance with its long sleeve silhouettes and draping at the waist, yet keeps it up to date as a form fitting gown.

Trend 6: The Crop Top

A trend from 2015, the crop top seems to still be a fabulous wedding trend even a year later. Now instead of wearing a crop top solo, designers are opting for a crop top over the gown to create an extra layer and design such as lace to a bride’s gown. A casual yet stunning look!
