Los Angeles Venues to Consider Part 2: Coastal Venues

Hello Lovelies,

As we promised in part one of this sweet series, we are back with more fantastic wedding venues that you are sure to love in the Los Angeles area. Many of our couples think of the beach when they imagine a Southern California wedding, and this week we are bringing you just that! Today we are happy to share with you weddings venues (that are not based out of a hotel) which are located on or close to the coast! Without further adieu, get ready to swoon at these beach-side wedding locations for you to consider for your day!

Cypress Sea Cove

The Cypress Sea Cove is a fabulous private estate in Malibu and with its 180 degree ocean view, this all outdoor venue with an expansive lawn is everything you are looking for in a wedding venue.  The venue is a New England style mini mansion rests on the middle of the property, and lends itself to have the ceremony take place on one side of the mansion, and then dinner and dining on the other. It comes with no rentals or other vendors attached, so this is a space where you completely built your custom wedding bit by bit. Cypress Sea Cove only hosts seven weddings a year, and with all it has to offer it gets booked fast. If you are looking for a venue with the best ocean view around, this may just be the spot for you!

La Venta Inn

The La Venta Inn is a home turned venue is a well loved favorite by couples, and is unique as it offers both ocean and cliff views.  Located in the Palos Verdes Estates, this location is an indoor and outdoor space that is perfect for a couple looking for a coastal venue in the colder months of the year.  This venue allows for couples to get married outside with the beautiful views, and then for the guests to move inside in a warm, intimate setting indoors for dinner and dancing.  Oh, and we can’t help but swoon over the fireplace in the main room and the beautiful Spanish style courtyard in the front of the venue (perfect for cocktail hour or a small reception)! So pretty…

Adamson House

The Adamson House in Malibu is actually owned by the state of California. Not only is this space absolutely gorgeous, but choosing this venue directly gives back to the state. As a plus you can come check out the space at any point during government hours. Again, this is a venue where you bring everything from food to rentals in. Guests have the opportunity to tour the house during the cocktail hour, and learn more about this home turned museum.  The Adamson House makes for a beautiful location to celebrate, as it is fully outdoors with a large lawn and a beautiful Spanish style patio for cocktail hour.

Carousel at the Santa Monica Pier

The Santa Monica Pier is a space loved by locals and visitors alike, and proudly serves as one of Los Angeles’ greatest landmarks.  While the pier is on the top of every “to see in Los Angeles list” you can find on the Internet, it is often overlooked as a wedding venue.  If you decide to get married at the pier, a part of the pier is sectioned off for your ceremony, with the water directly behind you (swoon). Once you’ve said “I do”, the celebration moves from the end of the pier to the carousel, which can be on or off during your reception.  We love that the local flair continues, as the ice cream shop on the boardwalk can provide sweet treats for your reception as well.  If you’re group is a small, relaxed crowd with a love for fun, funky, and nostalgic memories, this may be the venue for you!

Verandas Beach House

Verandas Beach House in Manhattan Beach offers a fun twist that isn’t seen in most coastal venues with its white and modern touches. This venue has tons of natural lighting, and it’s built in lounge furniture is absolutely to die for.  The Veranda Beach House is an affordable venue option, and it is only a few blocks away from the beach, which easily lends itself for beach photos.  At the Verandas Beach House, the ceremony takes place in a beautiful back garden, with the reception moving inside with dancing upstairs and dining downstairs.  Add a view of the Pacific from the upstairs balcony and we’re in love! The Verandas Beach House is a fantastic space, and we are sure that you will love all that this house by the shore offers for your big day.

With the beautiful beaches that Southern California has to offer, the options for a serene coastal venue are nearly endless.  We hope that these venues got some wheels turning, and that you find the venue of your dream.  In the meantime you can find us sitting by the beach resting up before wedding season!
