Marissa and Ryan chose varying greys, neutrals, and mixed metallics for their color focus. The differing yet similar bridesmaids’ dresses combined flawlessly, creating a modern, subdued dazzle. To add a clean finishing touch, each member of the bridal party held a bouquet of blooming white florals and greenery. The men wore navy suits for a clean and sophisticated accent.

The couple wed at Avalon Hotel in Palm Springs. This boutique hotel’s garden created the perfect tailored ceremony setting to pair with simple white chairs and a gorgeous white gazebo. With the towering San Jacinto Mountains and palm trees swaying in the background, the vibe of the ceremony was truly desert chic. To add a fun modern element, we brought in gold floral rings to display behind the couple during the ceremony. The simple white blooms and varying eucalyptus greenery echoed the style of the bridal party bouquets.

Family is of the highest importance to the couple and they wanted to commemorate the influence of loved ones who had passed. We designated a memorial chair, highlighting photos of significant family members. This dedication was sweet and meaningful. Though the weather was amazing, to ensure guest comfort, we placed a white paper fan at each seat. These touches made for one stunning ceremony!

Guests toasted the newlyweds with cocktails served poolside. The large, white gazebos maintained the modern, clean look of the ceremony and created a comfortable spot for guests to mingle. We brought in personalized Jenga and corn hole games as fun cocktail hour activities.

For their reception, we arranged long rectangular tables to border the dance floor. The simple white chairs mirrored those used at the ceremony. Tiny twinkle lights, along with table candles galore, created a glowing, enchanting dinner party space. Each table was covered with simple neutral linens and decorated with low, light blooms and eucalyptus greenery. The place settings included a gorgeous gold-rimmed charger, an ivory napkin, a gold-detailed menu, simple silver flatware, and clear glassware. Each name card was placed in a miniature succulent with a rustic metallic vase. The earthy feel of the colors and greenery was balanced with the flare of gold details and candlelight, creating the setting for a romantic evening.

Instead of a traditional cake, the couple opted for a donut “cake.” Yum! This towering treat was a hit with the guests and a fun element of the evening!

The festivities came to a close with dancing under the glow of the enchanting lights. Creating this desert chic soiree with Marissa and Ryan was truly a pleasure. We wish these lovebirds well in their life together!

A Modern Garden Party with a View: Rebecca and Rod Married!

Happy Wedding Wednesday, lovebirds!

Today, we’re back with another stunning summer wedding for you! Rebecca and Rod’s soiree had a romantic al fresco feel, with modern elements throughout. We loved collaborating with this couple to bring their vision to life, and can’t wait to share it with you. Please enjoy!

Rebecca and Rod’s big day took place at Catalina View Gardens. For their color scheme, we chose to focus on neutrals, creams, and diluted grey with hints of green, blush, and gold accents. Rebecca wore a flowing white gown (THAT BACK THOUGH…), while bridesmaids wore light grey dresses of varying styles. The simplistic beauty of the dresses added movement and paired flawlessly with the florals. The personal bouquets were packed with ivory and blush blooms, along with scattered greenery.

Guests entered the ceremony area to find a beautiful vintage greeting table. Here, family and friends had the opportunity to sign the couple’s guestbook. The signage was mixed, with both a wooden card box and acrylic pieces. To add a personal touch, we included a framed photo of the happy couple! This element contributed to the overall simple garden feel.

The couple said “I Do” with one heck of a view at this picturesque ceremony site! The large, weeping tree set in front of the ocean was the perfect place to exchange vows. To complement the natural backdrop, we utilized dark wooden chairs with ivory cushions. Soft colors were incorporated through the florals. The end-of-aisle ground arrangements added height and movement with whimsical feathery elements, while the tree behind the couple was decorated with varying white and blush blooms. These touches were both garden-inspired and romantic.

At the entrance to the reception, we brought in French doors, with windows listing the table assignments. The white detailing brought in another vintage, yet clean element. The greenery arrangement placed on top of the doors carried the botanical, natural theme of the event.

For the reception, we mixed round tables topped by soft, oatmeal-hued linens and rectangular exposed wooden tables. Each table had simple floral arrangements consisting of greenery and scattered blooms. At the round tables, we placed low metallic candles at the foot of the arrangements. In contrast, the rectangular tables had tall taper candles lining the center – how gracefully luxe! Each place setting consisted of a gold-rimmed charger, a simple ivory napkin, matte gold flatware, and clear glassware. A menu placed in the napkin had green details and was complemented by a eucalyptus leaf. The setup was both modern and clean, yet reflective of the romantic botanical vibe of their event.

At the head of the reception area, we set up a sweetheart table for the new Mr. and Mrs. that was just dripping with romance! From the ground to the table, blooming and feathery florals tied in the enchanted garden dinner party feel! The simple white table runner and taper candles of varying heights completed the table for two.

A French-Inspired Garden Affair: Christine and Charles Married!

Happy Wedding Wednesday, Lovebirds!

Today, we are thrilled to share another gorgeous celebration of love! Christine and Charles’ big day was dreamy and romantic. We feel so honored to have had this wedding featured on both Style Me Pretty and Ruffled! Working with this couple to bring their French-inspired garden wedding to life was our pleasure, and the result was one beautiful celebration!

French-Inspired Affair | Marisa Nicole Events

Christine and Charles wed at Catalina View Gardens in Palos Verdes, CA. With a breathtaking coastal bluff view of Catalina Island, this vineyard venue offered a serene setting to exchange vows. Our color story included varying sage greens, champagne, creamy whites, and blush-tones, accented by subtle medium blue and metallic touches. Bridesmaids wore various champagne-colored dresses with simple draping and beading. The groomsmen stuck to a classic black tuxedo, contributing to the overall look of polished elegance.

The florals were pure perfection! The mix of blush, ivory, and dusty rose blooms combined for a soft, organic look. The spectacular arbor framing the ceremony site was intricately crafted with greenery and lush cream and blush peonies, gardenias, dahlias, and garden roses. These florals were mirrored in the personal bouquets of the bridal party. The blooms complemented Christine’s appliqué gown, which incorporated delicate florals. The aisle was lined with flowy ground arrangements, creating an element of movement.

The mirror-art welcome sign, acrylic card box, and mixed metallic picture frames further enhanced the feel of elegance.

For cocktail hour, Made by Meg set up an epic charcuterie board. Overlooking the vineyard backdrop, we couldn’t imagine a treat more perfect – or delicious! It incorporated another element of French-inspiration into the day. The wooden boxes and boards were stacked in an asymmetrical fashion and topped with eucalyptus garland.

We brought in ivory and gold-detailed arm chairs, couches, and a coffee table to create a relaxing lounge area. Next to this, we used a large mirror to direct guests to their proper dinner table. At both installments, we incorporated greenery, candles, and a few delicate florals – did we say easy elegance?!

For the reception, we utilized a mix of round and long rectangular tables. For the round tables, we used blush linens, along with mixed floral arrangements. In contrast, we left the wood exposed on the rectangular tables and draped eucalyptus garland with scattered florals down the length of the table. The tables were covered with candles galore, and hanging string lights created a glowing atmosphere. Each table setting was clean and simple. The clear glassware and ivory draped napkin were accented by the metallic touches of the gold-rimmed charger and gold flatware. The contrasting tablescapes were tied together by simple oak chairs with ivory cushions.

Candles placed on the ground in front of the table added to the warm, glowing mood of romance.
