Spring 2017 Wedding Styles

Hi lovelies!

In the fashion world, it’s a given that when fall rolls around, fresh fashion comes with it! Last week we touched on wedding color palettes we expect to see in 2017. In light of laying out all things new and to come next year, we decided to take a peek into fall fashion week’s bridal looks, which we will see in play very soon (yay)!  Here are a few trends to look out for in spring 2017.

Statement Florals

Florals have been a bridal fashion trend since the beginning of wedding history. From the decor to the lace, it represents the essence of “the bride”. We’ll be seeing them taken to the next level with large, bold prints and a striking 3D presence in 2017 weddings. Seeing the twist on a more traditional floral lace done so elegantly is a breath of fashion fresh air!

Show a Little Skin

One particular fashion trend that has recently found its place within bridal fashion gets a little foxy… We’re talking about the cropped and cut-out gowns! These trends seem to have established an unexpected but steady presence over the past couple years. In this fall’s fashion week, we saw this done in the perfect measure of flirty and sophisticated… And did we mention totally perfect for spring? Love!

The Jumpsuit

This super modern, ultra chic look has established a presence as a powerful gown alternative. Designers took this trend and proved there are almost as many ways to design a jumpsuit as there are a gown… From feminine overskirt styles, to powerful pantsuit vibes, and everything in between!

Taking the Plunge

Talk about drama! There’s nowhere to hide with a plunging neckline, and this fashion week the designers embraced and rocked it. Balancing the foxiness and elegance makes for an fabulous gown… And a few double takes. If you decide take the plunge for your wedding look, be ready for all eyes on you!

Bows, Bows, Bows!

When it comes to bows on a wedding gown, the bigger the better! Designers frequently used bows give an extra pop to an otherwise simple gown, and it’s all kinds of chic. This trend has an ultra feminine feel, and we expect to see it fitting right in with sprightly spring vibes.

Phantom Sleeves

Wedding gowns with sleeves have had their presence for many years. However, the illusion sleeve has stepped in as a dainty new twist on sleeved gowns. Nude sleeves give the illusion that the dress ends at the shoulder, but surprise you with detailing on the wrist, to sort of give the illusion of “cuffs”. It’s something we haven’t really seen, and it’s fabulous.

Designers truly killed the spring 2017 fashion game, and we love sharing our thoughts on it with you! We’re so excited to see these fab styles in play for next year’s weddings, and we hope that you’ve been able to take a bit of bridal style inspiration for your own use! Stay chic, fashionistas!
