I’m super excited to announce that we have a new member of the Marisa Nicole, Weddings & Events team! The lovely and talented Emma Rogers has flown clear across the Atlantic to assist us this wedding season. Yes, on any given weekend, you will be able to catch a glimpse of her hanging decor from trees, arranging place settings, and doing anything and everything that needs to get done to make our clients’ special day a success. I thought it was high time a introduces her formally. Without further ado, meet Emma:
I am so privileged and excited to say that I’m the new intern at Marisa Nicole, Weddings and Events! Like many of you reading this, I’ve been obsessed with events and weddings for some time now. It sounds cliché but I have to pinch myself every time I sit and think about being here in Los Angeles, amongst some of the nicest people I have ever met and working at a job I absolutely love. A few years ago, I would never in my wildest dreams have pictured myself here! I was born and raised in North Wales in the United Kingdom. Events, especially weddings has always been a passion of mine starting from a young age as my parents own their own company supplying portable toilets to many weddings and events spread across the UK, so to say I have been around events for most of my life is an understatement. I study Events Management and Marketing at the University of Chester which I absolutely love. My first year at university was exciting because it was the first opportunity I’d had to really study and learn about something I was passionate about; Events. As a part of my studies I have worked on and at various events over in the UK which I have enjoyed and have gained a valuable insight and knowledge of the events industry already. I’m super excited to be here, in Los Angeles, working on weddings with Marisa Nicole this summer! She promised to teach me everything there is to know about planning and coordinating stellar events in exchange for accent lessons! All I can say is that she tries her best, and we have a LONG way to go.
