Tying the Knot Under Towering Pines: Liz and Matt Married!

Happy Wedding Wednesday, lovebirds!Today, we’re back with yet another beautiful celebration of love. Liz and Matt’s big day held a special place in my heart as I got to be a part of the process both as their wedding planner and as a bridesmaid! The day was filled with love and laughter, from start to finish, and we cannot wait to share it with you. Please enjoy!Tying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsThe day’s festivities took place at Pine Rose Cabins, located near Lake Arrowhead, California. Amongst the towering pines, an earthy feel that embodied clean, rustic romance was fitting. To complement the organic natural beauty, we went for a neutral color palette. This included varying greys, whites, and black, along with touches of dusty blush and greenery. To spice things up, we added in subtle warm metallic elements, sticking to copper, dull bronze, and rose gold. Bridesmaids wore floor-length black dresses of varying styles, which paired flawlessly with the groomsmen’s traditional black and white suits. Each member of the bridal party held a bouquet full of mixed greenery. Liz’s bridal bouquet was filled with ivory blooms and eucalyptus.Tying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsLiz and Matt Married | Marisa Nicole EventsTying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsTying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsAt the entrance to the ceremony, we set up a welcome table at which we asked guests to snap a Polaroid picture and leave a personalized message for the couple as a keepsake! The table signage, as well as the signage throughout the rest of the venue, was hand illustrated by talented artist friends of the couple! Here we also gave a nod to the couple’s families by incorporating portraits of loved ones on their wedding days.Tying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsThe couple surprised guests with a welcome treat of yummy popcorn. Salted, cheese, or caramel-covered? Guests chose their favorite and surely enjoyed munching on this snack as the festivities got started.Tying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsThe couple exchanged vows within a custom Log and Branch gazebo. To incorporate a touch of the groom’s Hawaiian roots, Matt wore a lush lei of fragrant plumeria and greenery.Tying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsTying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsTying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsFor unique seating cards, guests were treated to delicious cookies. Both yummy and useful!Tying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsGlowing bistro lights lined the reception space, creating an enchanting atmosphere for cocktail hour and the dinner party. We brought in round tables which we covered in light grey linens and paired with simple white chairs. Each white plate was topped with a folded grey napkin, completed with a menu and eucalyptus leaf. The copper flatware was mirrored by a copper table marker. To accent the tablescape, we included a blush-toned water glass at each setting, metallic rose gold candles, and blush blooms in the center floral arrangements. Designed and 3D-printed by the groom, himself, a detailed white lantern - in not only one, but three different styles - sat on top of the greenery arrangement. The finished look was simple and clean yet rustic.Tying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsTying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsTying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsTying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsAt the sweethearts’ table, Liz and Matt got to enjoy some time together as the new Mr. and Mrs. The ornate vintage chairs added a rustic element, while the gorgeous chandelier offered a touch of romance. Swoon!Tying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsThe reception was nothing short of a good time! The couple wowed their guests with their choreographed first dance, as well as let loose for some good old-fashioned fun. To keep guests warm as the evening chill set in, we offered cozy pashminas.Tying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsTying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsTying the Knot Under Towering Trees | Marisa Nicole EventsYou can never have too much dessert, right!?
