Palm Springs Love Fiesta: Sophie & Aaron Married! (Part 1)

Hi lovebirds, Today, we’re ecstatic to share with you the wedding weekend of one of our favorite couples from 2017. We had the pleasure of working with them to put together 5 events over a 4-day weekend (wooh!), and it was definitely one for the books! Next week, we’ll be sharing more of their wedding day but today, we’ll show you all the fun festivities that surrounded the weekend. So without further ado, let’s give it up for Sophie and Aaron.Sophie and Aaron’s fête took place at the Avalon Hotel in Palm Springs. We kicked off their wedding weekend with a welcome reception where we served mezze, munchies and handcrafted cocktails to show all the guests what they have in store for the weekend.  The day before the wedding, we put together a giant pool party that spanned over 2 pools. While 1 pool was your typical tiki-themed pool party filled with floaties galore, the other one was reserved for more mature guests and it had a more laid-back and relaxed vibe. To bring their vision to live, we prepared leis, sunglasses and flip-flops for all the guests to enjoy. To complete the true pool-party experience, we had deliciously exotic snacks served all day and even set-up a tiki bar with tropical drinks. Just before you thought it couldn’t have gotten any better, we also brought in games and a DJ spinning real vinyl throughout the day; it was so much fun!  Following a whole day of fun at the pool was the rehearsal dinner on Friday night. Since Aaron is Australian, we decided to go with an Aussie-vibe where we had an outdoor BBQ and fun for all. All the guests had the choice of red or white sangria upon arrival (Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi! Oi! Oi!). We lit up the whole backyard with Chinese lanterns to make the venue all the more romantic. The night was filled with sentimental toasts and delicious Mexican food, needless to say it was truly beautiful and heart-warming. On Sunday, the morning after the wedding, we had a farewell brunch for all the guests and it was honestly the perfect ending to the weekend. We had brunch foods, mimosas and bloody marys served all morning, leaving all the guests with a happy tummy! In terms of decor, we chose to use vibrant florals but clean linens in order to tie together the wedding and the rehearsal dinner. This is it for Sophie and Aaron’s wedding weekend festivities. We hope you had as much fun reading all about it as we did planning it and stay tuned for next week’s blog post on these lovebirds’ beautiful wedding day!Vendor Love:
